Process Automation division seals first channel partner deal in Qatar
2009-12-21 - The Process Automation team in Qatar has signed a channel partner agreement
with ONG Automation Qatar in a bid to increase ABB's local market presence in key
industries. Johan deVilliers, ABB in Qatar's country manager, and Bjarne Andre Asheim,
local business unit manager, signed the first channel partner agreement with local
channel partner, ONG Automation Qatar. The contract was signed by ONG's technical
director, Derry Good, and country manager, Stephen Tagg. "We are very happy to have
ONG onboard; the company will be a valuable partner to establish a strong foothold
in the small to medium systems arena and further adding market presence for ABB
in the water treatment, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing and food and beverage sectors
in Qatar," says deVilliers.
He went on to say, "ONG has developed a strong local presence as a panel builder
and will be able to provide customers with complete solutions based on ABB products
and systems from both automation products and process automation."
A strong partner for ABB ONG Automation delivers solutions across the entire major
manufacturing sectors since it formation in 1993. The company's clients include
some of the most successful organizations in the chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical

The agreement signing took place at Doha's Ramada Hotel during Multaqa 2009, a leading
automation conference for Qatar's booming oil and gas industry. During the event,

in the oil and gas and petrochemical industry gather to discuss advances in Fieldbus
Foundation - a leading digital system technology introduced for automation in large
petrochemical, oil and gas, chemical, power and other major industries.
Yogogawa partnership
Yokogawa Ireland has signed a systems integrator partnership agreement with ONG
Automation Limited. Under the terms of the agreement, ONG Automation will assist
Yokogawa Ireland with business development, project engineering and project proposals
within the Irish Market.
ISO 9001 Quality Certification 2009:
We are delighted to announce that ONG Automation completed certification to the
ISO 9001 : 2008 new edition standard early in 2009. ONG were originally certified
to the ISO9001 in 2007 and this provides ONG with a leading edge to have a fully
Integrated Quality Management System compliant with the latest standards. The Audit
was conducted by NQA (National Quality Assurance) with no major non-conformance
identified.
ONG Training and Certification :
ONG are pleased to announce the successful completion of Wonderware Systems Integrator
Certification for our Engineers in 2009. All exams were completed on time with a
high success rate. Engineers are now fully up to date for certification in IAS/Intouch/InBatch/
applications. ONG also completed API Wonderware training in Milan for 2009. Along
with internal "Customised" training by Rockwell Automation which has proved to be
very successful for new projects.
ONG are actively investing in Automation Training & Development, Quality Training,
Certification, and R&D for 2009 -2010.
Research & Development :
ONG are in the process of implementing Research & Development projects for 2010.
R&D will focus on automating manual processes in an innovative and cost effective manner.
At the same time promoting internal and external Service Development
activities for ONG and customers.
